Become a part of the “Farm-ily”
By joining our CSA. What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way to buy local food directly from a farmer. You purchase a “share” and become a “farm-ily member.” CSA is much more than just a weekly delivery of food. CSA is a powerful investment in your health, community, and local economy. It’s a partnership between our farm and you that keeps small businesses thriving, helps families eat seasonal, nutrient dense produce, and charges farmers and consumers with the responsibility of building a strong, sustainable food system. We use organic practices and never any chemicals.
OUR SHARES:
Our CSA is year round, consisting of two 25 week seasons, called “Summer” (running from May- October) and “Winter” (running from November- April). You can choose from our options to customize your shares or purchase them all, thus getting your “Full Diet CSA” from us. Pick up is at Ft. Bacon Farm 36258 Snickersville Tpk. Purcellville, Va on Tuesday/Wednesday or Friday/Saturday from 8AM-8PM self serve. We have weekly pick ups for veggies, milk and eggs; the meat is monthly. Share prices are for 6 months or 6 monthly meat pick ups and 25 weekly pick ups for milk, veggies or eggs. Ft. Bacon Farm has it’s own beef, lamb and pork for sale if you’d rather buy by the piece instead of shares.
Please see our Farm Store Tab to view trial shares(when available) or one time purchases if you aren’t ready to commit to the whole season yet. We sometimes have an abundance of certain farm products beyond what we need to fill the CSA shares.

Day Spring Farm Membership Agreement
Members of the veggie CSA will receive a weekly share of produce, varying in size depending on the time of season. Meat CSA members are committing to the purchase of a half or quarter of a live animal that will be taken to the processor for them and picked up monthly. One aspect of CSA is that members support their farmer by sharing in the inherent risks of agriculture (poor weather, drought, crop failure, etc.) and the rewards (organic, exceptionally fresh vegetables, the bounty of a good season, etc.) involved in farming. CSA farmers purposely plan for such contingencies; the farmers use growing techniques that protect the harvest to minimize the risk and optimize the rewards. On the whole, members will get a wide variety of vegetables in plentiful amounts. I understand this principle and agree that there is no guarantee on the exact amount or type of produce I will receive in my share. By becoming a member, I agree to support the farm with timely payments. I commit to picking up my share(s) weekly and I understand that if I, or someone I designate, is unable to pick up my share(s), they cannot be saved. I understand that my contribution as a member is utilized as seed and spring start up funds for the farmers and therefore my CSA membership fee is nonrefundable. All prices subject to sales tax.
